Kerala Now Has India’s First AI School; May ChatGPT Eventually Take The Role Of Human Teachers There?

August 25, 2023

Kerala is home to India’s first-ever artificial intelligence school. The Santhigiri Vidyabhavan was inaugurated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala’s capital city, in a ground-breaking event. On Tuesday, President Ram Nath Kovind opened the school.

You’ll need to wait a little bit if you expect that ChatGPT will replace the school’s human instructors and teach the students in the classroom instead. That is not yet the case. In this context, it simply refers to an educational setting that improves student learning through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge technology technologies. It involves using artificial intelligence (AI) technology in several facets of education, such as curriculum design, individualized learning, assessment, and student support. These technologies include machine learning, natural language processing, and data analysis.

iLearning Engines (ILE) USA and Vedhik eSchool worked together to create the AI school. It’s as if a new age in education is beginning right now. Experts including former Chief Secretaries, DGPs, and Vice Chancellors are among those working on this initiative.

According to Vedhik eSchool, this innovative method of learning that is supported by artificial intelligence will deliver a genuinely good education. It adheres to international standards to make learning more engaging outside of conventional class hours. Your academic performance will improve since the material you learn aligns with the NSEA Standards, which are based on NEP 2020, the New National Education Policy.

The goal of the AI school is to give students an educational experience that is technologically oriented and offers resources, tools, and assistance that go beyond conventional teaching techniques. It’s a cutting-edge method of teaching that makes use of AI to enhance learning outcomes and get pupils ready for the difficulties of a world that is changing quickly.

The primary characteristics of Kerala’s first AI school are listed below:

The AI school will initially be open to students in grades 8 through 12. They will receive a lot of valuable information, including support from several teachers, various test levels, aptitude tests, counseling, career planning, and tips for improving memory.

— The AI system can assist with more than just common subjects. Additionally, it teaches students how to behave properly, speak in groups, perform well in maths, and write better. Even your English and emotions benefit from it.

The AI school offers more than just traditional education. Additionally, it helps students get ready for important tests like the IELTS, GMAT, CLAT, JEE, and NEET. Students who do well on these examinations are more likely to pursue further education.

The AI school’s ability to assist pupils in making plans is a definite plus. It helps students find scholarships at prestigious international colleges so they can pursue their studies overseas.

—The AI school doesn’t have a high price tag while using sophisticated technology. The school’s website contains artificial intelligence-generated online materials. This implies that using them won’t cost you a lot of money.

—The AI school works to find solutions to many issues that parents and children encounter. It supports academic work, assessments, and competitions. It resembles a solution to numerous problems.

The opening of India’s first AI school begs the intriguing question of whether cutting-edge AI systems like ChatGPT could take the position of classroom teachers. The AI school represents a significant advance in the direction of technology-driven education, yet traditional teaching responsibilities are still crucial. AI will never be able to entirely replace the dynamic human contact, empathy, and individualized direction that teachers provide.
