How Much Is AI Worth To The Healthcare Sector?

March 28, 2023
Artificial-Intelligence

The healthcare industry is changing in a number of ways as artificial intelligence (AI) has in other sectors. Global health systems could become faster, more effective, and more efficient thanks to artificial intelligence. The growth in patient data sets and the demand for more affordable healthcare will be the main drivers of artificial intelligence’s global revenue in the healthcare sector. AI has revolutionized a number of healthcare-related applications, including imaging, patient risk assessment, medication discovery, and diagnostics, to mention a few. The development of the sector is also being changed by recent AI in healthcare developments including drug design, data mining, and surgical robots.

COVID-19’s effects on the global market for artificial intelligence in healthcare

COVID-19 has sped up the adoption of artificial intelligence in healthcare. AI-based products and services can react rapidly, broadly, and dynamically to the situation. During the pandemic, artificial intelligence played a critical role in assisting the healthcare industry. As soon as the coronavirus-caused pandemic was revealed, the World Health Organization (WHO) suggested that artificial intelligence (AI) might be a key technology for managing the problem.

Healthcare Market Value: Some healthcare providers have already integrated high-tech solutions into the current healthcare infrastructure.

Genomic Vision, a French biotechnology firm that specializes in the development and commercialization of diagnostic solutions for genetic illnesses and cancers, recently unveiled FiberSmart, a novel technology that enables the visualization and analysis of lengthy DNA fibers at high resolution.

According to Genomic Vision, FiberSmart can improve the accuracy and efficacy of diagnosing and treating genetic diseases, lowering healthcare costs and improving patient outcomes.

AI is also being used to develop innovative cures and treatments, increase diagnosis efficiency and accuracy, and even predict and stop disease outbreaks.

Perspective on AI in the Healthcare Industry by Region

The North American, Asia-Pacific, European, South American, Middle Eastern, and African regions make up the majority of the worldwide artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare industry. North America held the largest market share among all regions from 2022 to 2030. Rising healthcare costs, increased AI adoption across the care continuum, and expanding AI/ML deployment in the North American healthcare sector are all considered causes of this.

Nonetheless, the Asia-Pacific area is predicted to grow at the quickest rate in the upcoming years because of supportive government initiatives, rising venture capitalist and private investor investments, and expanding infrastructural improvements in the healthcare sector. The rise in the number of old people and the frequency of infectious and chronic diseases in China, India, and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region also support the market for artificial intelligence in healthcare.
