Wipro Is Creating AI-Powered Technology To Lower The Risk Of Cardiovascular Disease

May 29, 2024
Wipro

According to the company’s filing, Wipro announced a collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru’s Centre for Brain Research (CBR) to create a personal care engine that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to lower and control the risk of cardiovascular disease.

The collaboration will create new technologies for the management and prevention of long-term health conditions, as well as to give precision assistance for these diseases, according to the business that announced the agreement on Tuesday.

The business stated that by leveraging AI to tailor its interactions with consumers and optimize for their long-term health and wellbeing, the personal care engine will reduce and manage the risk of cardiovascular disease and associated neurological conditions. In partnership with CBR at IISc, Wipro will test the engine through a digital app-based trial.

According to the corporation, the main goal of this collaboration is to develop big data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI, ML).

We are thrilled to be embarking on this journey in partnership with the CBR and IISc. Wide-ranging applications and advantages for health management are made possible by our personal care engine. According to Wipro Limited Chief Technology Officer Subha Tatavarti, “it has the potential to mitigate lifestyle-related conditions and even enhance cognitive and psychosocial functioning.”

Wipro announced that as part of Lab45, its research and development (R&D) team will create a personal care engine, or artificial intelligence (AI) system that considers a person’s past medical history, desired health state, and other behavioral responses in order to encourage healthy aging, positive lifestyle choices, and psycho-social wellbeing in order to gradually improve a person’s health.

Our partnership with CBR will lead the way in developing innovative solutions at the nexus of cognitive sciences and computing, providing scalable tailored care assistance for some of the world’s most pressing chronic health issues. Dr. Ajay Chander, Head of Research and Development at Wipro Limited, stated, “We are particularly focused on cardiovascular diseases because of their high correlation with long-term cognitive disorders and the potential for broad health and wellness benefits at reduced prices.

Important data about the engine’s efficacy in situations that are highly pertinent to long-term health outcomes will be produced by this trial. Combining CBR’s cutting-edge brain science research with Wipro’s technological know-how will open up new avenues for patient care, cognitive function, and general health.

By collaborating with Wipro, we can leverage large-scale digital applications to further our scientific expertise. Professor K.V.S. Hari, Director of the Center for Brain Research, stated that this collaboration will quicken the transition from basic science to practical applications in cognitive and general health.

Both schools’ combined R&D capabilities will enable the development of solutions that improve population-level health outcomes.
