Vodex, A Gen AI Saas Startup, Secures Funding From Pentathlon Ventures And Unicorn India

April 4, 2024

The firm intends to expand internationally with the additional funding. In the upcoming year, it also plans to grow the firm by at least four times.

Vodex, which was founded in 2022 by Anshul Shrivastava and Kumar Saurav, employs artificial intelligence (AI) to help businesses put up sales assistants that can automate sales procedures and have human-like conversations.

According to the company, using traditional call centers is no longer necessary, giving businesses more time and energy to connect with clients and optimize operations.

This investment demonstrates the enormous potential of generative AI to completely transform the sales industry, according to Shrivastava. To guarantee first-rate customer assistance, Vodex will make investments to assemble a committed and knowledgeable support staff. We are optimistic that we will soon quadruple our revenue.

“We see disruptive capabilities in Vodex to emerge as a formidable player by applying the power of GenAI and SaaS to help enterprises manage their CRM engagements more efficiently,” stated Bhaskar Majumdar, managing partner at Unicorn India Ventures.

Vodex had raised INR 1.25 Cr from 100X.VC in a pre-seed fundraising round.

The business asserted that its clients had agreed to pay it $1 million in recurring fees.

The firm faces competition from companies like Homebot, SquadStack, and Drift, among others.

Approximately $50 million went to seed-stage firms out of the $580 million that GenAI startups in the nation raised between 2019 and 2023, according to Inc42’s data.

Investor interest in India’s GenAI market has been growing for a while now.

With a $50 million funding round led by a group of investors that included Matrix Partners India, Bhavish Aggarwal, the creator of Ola, made his third startup, Krutrim, the first AI unicorn in India, earlier in January.

Lightspeed Venture Partners led the $41 million (about INR 342 crore) Series A fundraising round that Bengaluru-based Sarvam AI, a startup in the generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) area, raised in December of last year.
