Top AI resources for 2022 that tech enthusiasts should utilize

We’ve learned a lot from the year 2020. One of them is the numerous ways in which technology may improve our lives when used appropriately. When the outbreak caused the shutdown of banks, offices, and pretty much everything else, the technology prevented us from going insane. We were able to avoid the worst, thanks to technical improvements like video chats, group meetings, electronic money transfers, video streaming, and others. And now that the worst is passed, it’s time for us to modernize, utilizing the most recent technologies in both our professional and personal life.

It might be difficult for industry experts tackling practical use-cases and academic researchers to stay on top of all the most current advancements in their particular field of interest due to the enormous volumes of research and development taking place daily in machine learning. After much work and investigation, we have finally discovered a few resources that we would like to share with you. The list provided here is only a starting point. They will, nevertheless, be enough to keep you informed, saving you the time and effort of having to manually search through the list of published articles.

Yannic Kilcher

A Ph.D. from ETH Zurich, Yannic Kilcher creates movies that focus on addressing recent deep learning research publications, particularly in the areas of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision (CV). In addition, it is adorable the way he approaches discussing papers. He frequently offers the information required to fully comprehend an idea covered in the paper. His films frequently include a humorous element, which makes watching and learning from them an amazing experience overall.

AI Coffee Break with Letitia

Letitia Parcalabescu also often releases videos on the most recent developments, especially in the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision (CV). Her videos are differentiated by flowing and visually beautiful editing, which, in my opinion, makes it easier to follow and understand her observations than Yannic’s films do. Again, unlike Yannic’s, her films are brief, but in my experience, she thoroughly discusses every topic addressed in the selected paper so that viewers would understand it.

Two Minute Papers

The two above-mentioned YouTube channels go into great detail about the technical aspects, while Two Minutes Papers by Károly Zsolnai-Fehér is intended for everyone. This also applies to those with no technological background. The results of the article being discussed dominate the whole video, which gives less attention to the exact technical elements and studies done. This is advantageous since it offers you a quick summary of the full content. You might choose to read the material further based on your interests.

The batch

Newsletters are another excellent way to stay up to date on the most recent research if individuals want to read. The Batch is Deeplearning.ai’s official weekly newsletter. Each week, Dr. Andrew Ng himself will include a message in your email along with the most recent AI news, discoveries, and ideas.

Data science weekly

The primary highlights in the area of data science are articles, videos, books, employment opportunities, and tutorials. According to my experience, this newsletter is a wonderful place for novices or aspiring data scientists to start learning about the breadth of AI and its applications. By looking at their newsletter history here, you can determine whether this is a suitable fit for you.

Lex Fridman Podcast

Dr. Lex Fridman offers conversations with some of the most well-known figures, including Nobel Prize winners, business executives, eminent academic researchers, entrepreneurs, sports, and creatives. The show was formerly known as the AI Podcast. It is always wonderful to hear folks discuss their innovative ideas and the difficulties they had – something you never learn about just by reading their papers.

TWIML: This week in Machine Learning

The TWIML AI Podcast, as its name implies, disseminates concepts from the ML and AI fields to a large audience of researchers, data scientists, engineers, and IT executives. Machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning, natural language processing, neural networks, analytics, computer science, data science, and other subjects are covered by the host Sam Charrington.
