Three Use Cases For AI Chatbots

November 1, 2022

Nothing can be more aggravating for customers who like internet purchasing for its on-demand simplicity and convenience than not being able to find answers to their inquiries when they need them. After all, one of the best aspects of internet buying is the freedom from restrictions like store hours to conduct business whenever you choose. However, this can present a challenge for online sellers. How can a new online company afford to staff their customer support department around-the-clock? AI chatbots are a realistic, economical, and efficient solution to online merchants’ most frequent issues with attracting customers, fostering brand loyalty, and offering first-rate customer service day or night. Here are just a few uses for AI chatbots that e-commerce retailers are reporting from their use:

Consumer assistance

Handling client inquiries and complaints outside of regular business hours is a common issue for internet shops. Customers expect answers today, not between 8 AM and 5 PM Eastern Time tomorrow, if they have a problem with a purchase or have a concern about shipping, billing, or refunds. Online retailers are implementing AI chatbots to help with frequently asked customer service questions to prevent customer annoyance, which can result in dissatisfaction. This not only helps to defuse any potential annoyance that might otherwise be directed at a live customer service representative in the future, but it also reduces the amount of customer service inquiries agents have to handle during regular business hours.

Rates of participation and conversion

Any e-commerce merchant who is asked about their worst pain problem will probably mention clients who leave their carts unattended midway through the checkout process. AI chatbots can also be a big assistance in this situation. Chatbots may keep clients interested from the point at which they choose a product until they click the “place order” button by posing queries, making product recommendations, and streamlining the shopping process.

Customer loyalty

Getting someone to make an online purchase is one thing. Another is to encourage them to return and make additional purchases. AI chatbots can be created to have personalities that are consistent with your brand, making online purchasing at your company so enjoyable and simple that customers keep coming back for more. It could be time to include an AI chatbot in your sales plan if you’re seeking for an economical solution to grow your online business and keep clients satisfied. Look into chatbot pricing to determine which choice is best for your company.
