“The Innovation Of Telehealth Has Transformed Healthcare”

January 6, 2022
“The Innovation Of Telehealth Has Transformed Healthcare”

Nearly 70% of the country’s population lives in rural areas. In daily life, they face many health and medical facilities issues. Many of them do not get proper medication and health care facilities due to the unavailability of doctors and hospitals. The innovation of telehealth has transformed healthcare. Patients from any place now can get connected with the best doctors in India.

Telemedicine/ Telehealth has had a significant effect over the years. However, the pandemic might have made it much more important and pertinent. Telemedicine has various benefits, and featuring the vital viewpoint in this situation is that patients would now be able to talk with a doctor from the comfort of their homes. Moreover, even in an affordable healthcare setup, telemedicine operation can altogether reduce the time and expenses of patients spent in transportation. It gives easier and simpler access to those living in distant regions. They feel secure and safe while consulting with doctors for their health issues; in such cases, doctors can be accessible in the remotest of areas.

Previously, people without the necessary resources to travel to their hospital or doctors were suggested to use telemedicine services. As individuals have become familiar with its advantages, it is developing a social change, eliminating hesitance to embrace innovation imbued medical care. With technology-savvy doctors entering care delivery, increased adoption can be expected both by patients and doctors.

The telemedicine segment has seen exponential growth and indisputably, is the future of India that will bring revolution in the healthcare sector. With the thought of offering a suitable healthcare facility to the rural areas, Medpho came into existence, providing Accessible and Affordable healthcare for Bharat. As a full-stack healthcare service provider, its most significant challenge is to keep evolving in the right product and technology for their corporate users and the rural communities. Acceptance and trust are the biggest challenges they face, but they believe these will gradually overcome medicine delivery and diagnostics logistics.

So far, they have assisted 150+ surgeries and 500+OPDs. They launched their services in 5 cities and will be launching in 15 more in the coming months of 2022. Recently they also have partnered with an NGO to ensure primary care services in 90 villages of Uttarakhand. In 2022 they will be introducing their e-clinics as the first offline healthcare service provider.
