At TiEcon Delhi 2024, the premier startup event organized by TiE Delhi-NCR, more than 2,000 attendees, more than 100 presenters, and more than 50 investors came together to discuss the revolutionary potential of artificial intelligence (AI). This event demonstrated the growing significance of AI.

The government’s commitment to AI advancement was discussed during the occasion by S Krishnan, Secretary of MeitY, who said that AI graphics processing units (GPUs) will be made available under the Rs 10,372 crore AI Mission during the next 18–24 months. This program is in line with the larger goals of the India AI Mission, which are to strengthen India’s position as a worldwide leader and democratize the advantages of AI for all members of society.

Furthermore, the Fund of Funds for Start-ups (FFS) has committed to contributing Rs 9,500 crore to support new initiatives and innovation-driven businesses in the nation, according to SIDBI Chairman Sivasubramanian Ramann.

AI dominated conversations at the event, which showcased the active participation of entrepreneurs, investors, businesses, and governments. The excitement surrounding AI was highlighted by Geetika Dayal, Executive Director of TiE Delhi-NCR, along with the potential it holds in a number of industries, including space, food, automotive, sports, and geospatial landscape.

In addition, TiEcon Delhi 2024 promised to back the “Startup Mahakumbh” program, which seeks to bring the startup community together for shared expansion.

Leaders in the industry, such as Vishal Dhupar, MD Asia South of NVIDIA, emphasised the need to develop and export intelligence as they saw India becoming a global AI powerhouse.

The occasion also honored startups’ ingenuity and tenacity with a number of awards that honored successes in finance management, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship.

With the help of well-known partners like Startup India and Maruti Suzuki Innovation, TiEcon Delhi 2024 showcased the spirit of cooperation driving the growth of India’s startup scene.
