The 5 Best Uses Of ChatGPT’s AI Chatbot (So Far)

December 12, 2022
Chatbots

With its capacity to immediately respond to complex inquiries, the new AI tool ChatGPT has generated both enthusiasm and concern. People have discovered numerous ways it may simplify their life in the days after its release, five of which stand out from the others.

A chat-based application called ChatGPT was created by the research facility OpenAI to provide questions with a conversational tone. Anyone who has used Siri or Alexa and had to repeat questions to receive replies will be delighted by its natural language capabilities. The AI only has knowledge of information up to 2021 because it was educated on the enormous amounts of text that are available online. But it has a tonne of information on both small things and broad ideas. While some educators are upset by it, it can be used as a bonus brain if you use it carefully.

To be fair, ChatGPT isn’t a perfect replacement for conducting your own research since, as CNET science editor Jackson Ryan pointed out while describing its current limitations in critical thinking, it doesn’t distinguish between fact and fiction. ChatGPT can explain difficult topics and provide answers, however because of the possibility of error, StackOverflow has temporarily banned ChatGPT-produced software.

However, there are a number of methods ChatGPT might simplify your life that have been developed by those seeking the advantages of AI. Here are some amazing methods to use ChatGPT if you simply want to save time on some activities and aren’t doing it to get an A on your English Literature assignment.

Utilize a chatbot to save money.
A GPT-powered bot could reduce the cost of your bills in a matter of weeks. Joshua Browder, CEO of DoNotPay, tweeted that the business is developing a Chrome extension based on ChatGPT’s tech foundation to negotiate lower bills from internet providers, hospitals, and other service providers. DoNotPay bills itself as the “world’s first robot lawyer,” helping people fight traffic tickets and other bills.

Before an open beta test in the first week of January, the extension will begin closed beta testing in the middle of December. DoNotPay has been reducing costs for customers for years, but its rules-based methodology could only incite conflict anywhere customers could file online complaint forms. The variety of invoices that can be disputed has expanded to include medical bills, credit reports, and landlord-tenant conflicts thanks to DoNotPay’s integration of the conversational technology underpinning ChatGPT.

You may tell the bot, “Go get me a refund for bad in-flight Wi-Fi,” and it will email the complaint after saving your personal information, according to Browder, speaking to CNET. He thinks that the requests’ more conversational tone will make them seem less suspect than the formal form letters DoNotPay had been sending, enabling it to take on more discerning — and pricey — organisations like hospitals.

The GPT-powered addon will first be included with DoNotPay’s current bill-challenging subscription service, which costs $36 every three months, after completing its beta testing phase.

The future may see bots doing all the laborious legwork to offer you better deals and lower rates, similar to how Google’s Duplex AI makes voice calls for you.

Plan your nutrition and exercise.
It requires effort to alter your diet and create an exercise schedule. Alex Cohen, a senior director of product at Carbon Health, created a health-improving plan using ChatGPT to make it simpler. The plan included a daily calorie target, exercise recommendations, a week’s worth of meal ideas, and even a shopping list for all the necessary supplies.

Cohen’s plan was broken down into many parts, starting with the calculation of his particular health metrics, followed by requests for meals that would satisfy his daily caloric and nutritional demands, a shopping list, and finally a customised workout regimen.

If you use Cohen’s search terms again, the programme will warn you that it cannot replace a doctor or dietician who can tailor a plan to your unique needs and physiology. However, it’s a simple approach to draught a health plan blueprint that you may review on your own or present to a medical expert.

Make a grocery list and plan the meals for the upcoming week.
For those who are organising a week’s worth of meals for a large group of people, a variation on the previous point is worth highlighting.

Ask ChatGPT for a list of meals first, and then specify if you’re interested in dinners, breakfasts, or lunches as well as how many people you’re preparing for. Specify your preferences and dietary requirements. Specify the number of days you want dinner suggestions, and presto, you have a menu.

A shopping list for such meals should then be requested. If you want exact proportions, you’ll need to be more specific in your request because you’ll only get a rather basic breakdown of the ingredients. For instance, you could wish to inquire about the overall number of components used in all of the mentioned meals. GPT generates a grocery list that includes the quantity of each ingredient you’ll need for a week’s worth of meals, including how many cans, ounces, pounds, and cups.

Write a children’s bedtime story.
Because ChatGPT hasn’t mastered the art of creative style, its output hasn’t yet topped bestseller lists. However, the tool can create a respectable bedtime story for kids by creating straightforward narratives and vocabulary from simple suggestions. For instance, when I selected a cat who wanted to travel to space, ChatGPT told me the story of Max, who had to claw his way through numerous challenges to fulfil his aspirations of living in space.

The concept of utilising ChatGPT to create a bedtime story and then feeding that text into OpenAI’s DALL-E image-generating tool for graphics was tweeted by Stanford graduate student in machine learning Eric Zelikman.

It won’t take the place of children’s books that have been traditionally published. But if you’re short on time or far from your child’s collection of bedtime stories, using OpenAI’s tools to create one can be useful.

interview preparation
As businessman Seth Bannon tweeted, if you need to get ready for an interview with an engaging source, you can ask ChatGPT to come up with some provocative questions.

If you’re a journalist, interviewing someone live on stage at a professional conference, getting ready for a job interview, or planning a meal with someone you want to impress, having access to such information could be useful.

You can also set it up as a chat companion to simulate discussions so you can practise your lines. You can also give it instructions to react in different languages or translate particular words. You may also use it to polish up your emails and cover letters to give them a more polished appearance. Although ChatGPT isn’t perfect, it can be a skilled communicator provided there are enough of online examples it can replicate.
