A strategic project to train 60 Bahrainis in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies was unveiled by The Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
In partnership with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), the program attempts to meet the demands of a rapidly changing digital economy by preparing the local labor force for high-caliber positions that are in demand both domestically and globally.
As part of its mission to equip the American labor force for revolutionary changes in the digital environment, Tamkeen is still a driving force behind the advancement of ICT skills.
More than 1,500 training opportunities in a variety of fields, including information technology, software engineering, data science, iOS application development, 3D animation, game development, and more, have been effectively enabled by Tamkeen since 2022.
65 percent of alumni from these programs have gone on to find employment, receive promotions, or launch their own enterprises, demonstrating the beneficial consequences of these initiatives.
“AI and ML platforms are set to transform the business landscape and it is critical that we keep pace by including them in our human capital support initiatives,” stated Ali Hasan, executive director of programs and relationship development at Tamkeen. Tamkeen’s backing of these innovative training initiatives is indicative of our steadfast commitment to equipping Bahraini citizens for the workforce of the future. This not only makes them highly sought-after talent, but it also establishes Bahrain as the region’s center of technological innovation.
“With these programs, we also hope to address the changing needs of local businesses,” he stated. Through the cultivation of a talent pool proficient in these cutting-edge technologies, our effort guarantees that enterprises may easily obtain the necessary knowledge, thereby stimulating economic growth and innovation.
Seven weeks of the program will be taught by AWS-certified trainers.
It will teach participants the skills necessary to create innovative and convincing AI and ML solutions for any given business issue as well as to design growth strategies for businesses.
