The Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (AKTU) has created a robot that can be controlled with the fingers of both hands utilizing machine learning techniques, according to Anuj Sharma, Associate Dean of the Innovation & Incubation Center of AKTU, who made the announcement on March 30, 2023.

According to the associate dean of AKTU, the robot will use machine learning to complete all preprogrammed duties in addition to following finger signals. These robots can be used for a variety of jobs by people who have diverse disabilities, particularly the visually impaired, the deaf and dumb, and senior folks.
Artificial intelligence and computer vision were used to build this technology. If more than one robot has fingers on its right hand, one of them will be chosen. As an illustration, a robot that has information stored on the thumb will start. The robot will also work on other fingers in an analogous manner.
A computer and desktop can be used to control the robot. The robot will be chosen using the right-hand finger, and orders will be given using the left-hand thumb and other fingers, such as requesting the robot to turn on the fan.
