NASSCOM Commences The Search for ‘AI Gamechangers 2022’

NASSCOM has opened for application for India’s most prestigious AI awards, AI Gamechangers 2022. With the theme “Realising India’s AI Promise”, the awards will bring forward and recognise innovations from grassroots to large enterprises that have created an impact. The platform will witness members of the AI fraternity functioning in a variety of fields such as Enterprises, Startups, Government bodies, Academic Institutes and NGOs, showcasing their innovations and contribution to the AI world. The application for the awards has opened on 8th February 2022 and will be live till 8th March 2022.

The applications submitted by the willing participants will undergo rigorous screening by the panel consisting of eminent personalities in the AI sphere such as Abhishek Singh, President & CEO of NegD; Leena Walavalkar, Chief Innovation Evangelist, Business and Technology Services, TCS; Rishikesha Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore; Dr. Rohini Srivasthava, National Technology Officer of Microsoft India; Srikanth Velamakanni, Co-founder, Group Chief Executive and Vice Chairman of Fractal Analytics. Sreekanth Menon Global Lead – Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Practice at Genpact, and Sanjay Kukreja, Principal/ Global Head of Technology at eClerx will act as the technical advisors for the event. The nominations will be evaluated on parameters such as innovation, impact and scalability. The shortlisted participants will have to make a final presentation to the industry veterans and SMEs, after which by June 2022 the winners would be announced.

The applications are welcome from but are not limited to, areas such as technology, social impact, verticals, functions and AI research in industry and academia. There is no application fee for submitting the nomination nor are there any limitations on the number of applications that a person or company can submit. Successful nominations will be asked to provide additional details and the winning entry will be featured in the AI Gamechangers Compendium which will be launched in NASSCOM’s annual Xperience AI platform. Maintaining the COVID-19 protocol, the presentation round for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted virtually. 

The AI Gamechangers was introduced by NASSCOM last year. Out of more than 300 AI Use Case Entries, Top 50 Use-cases were recognised. Some of the diverse cases included COVID-19 Solutions, citizens services, supply-chain planning, visual merchandising, waste segregation, adaptive assessment, and warehouse automation.
