MEITy Recruitment 2023: For the position of Director General at the National Informatics Center, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY ) has invited applications from dynamic and experienced officers who meet the qualifications (NIC). According to the MeitY Recruitment 2023 Notification, the 01 Post Director General is eligible for the Pay Scale Level 15 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 182200 to Rs. 224100) through promotion, deputation (including short-term contract), or direct recruitment.
Within 60 days of the date the MeitY advertisement in the Employment News was published, among the Eligible and those willing to submit their respective Candidacy/ies, may submit an application in the Prescribed Specimen Application Format with the Attested Facsimiles of the Essential Certificates pertaining to Educational Qualification, Matriculations, and all other Documents / Testimonies. Pay Range for MEITy Recruitment in 2023:
Pay Scale: Level 15 of the Pay Matrix ($182200-$224100).
Following their selection as director general, the officer will get an appointment with the right to the pay scale as specified above via a MEITy advertisement.
Age Requirement for MEITy Recruitment 2023: As of 12.03.2023, the Closing Date for Receiving Applications, the Maximum Age Requirement in Respect of Applicants for Appointment by Deputation (ISTC) should not Exceed 58 Years.
Relaxation of the upper age limit for candidates from the reserved community must follow the regulations of the central government.
MEITy Recruitment Eligibility Requirements 2023:
A: Representation
Officers of the federal, state, and local governments, as well as public sector organisations and autonomous bodies:
holding similar positions on a regular basis; or
ii) with three years of regular employment at the Pay Level 14 and
b) Possessing the credentials and background required for direct recruits.
B) All India Service Officers who have completed three years of regular service at Pay Scale Level 14 following the center’s appointment of their batch, as well as five years of experience in the field of e-government.
The National Informatics Center Scientist “G” at Pay Scale Level 14 with three years of continuous service in the Grade will be taken into consideration together with the External Officers, and the Post will be regarded to have been filled by Promotion in the event of Selection for Appointment.
Note: Normally, the deputation period (including short-term contracts) and the deputation (ISTC) in another ex-cadere post held immediately before to this appointment in a related or different organization/department of the central government may not exceed 05 (Five) Years.
B) ii) Direct Recruitment: up to 50 years old (relaxable for government employees up to five years in accordance with the Instructions/Orders issued by the Central Government from time to time).
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology, M.Sc. in electronics or applied electronics, a master’s degree in computer applications, or an M.Sc. in computer science or information technology are the minimum educational requirements.
Master’s or doctoral degree in engineering, technology, philosophy, or computer science, information technology, or electronics are desirable educational credentials.
I For government employees, 25 years of experience in the fields of information technology, system implementation, and e-government.
ii) Non-government employees must have 25 years of experience in the fields of information technology, system implementation, and e-government, with a minimum of five years in the following roles:
a) The CEO of any organisation involved in information technology over the previous ten years.
b) The Director or Head of the Department of any Accredited Academic Institution involved in Information Technology Education or Research
MEITy Recruitment 2023 Selection Criteria:
The National Informatics Centre’s (NIC) selection/appointment methodology for the position of director general includes promotion, deputation (including short-term contracts), and direct recruitment as part of its components.
Deputation Tenure: Normally, a deputation’s term cannot exceed 05 (Five) years, including any time spent on deputation in a previous ex-cadre position held immediately before this appointment in a related or unrelated organisation or department of the central government.
