INDIAai Exclusive: AI Is Stealing The Show At Digital India Week 2022

Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated Digital India Week 2022 on July 4. One of the major highlights of Digital India Week is the grand expo called “Digital Mela”, which has more than 200 stalls showcasing Digital India solutions for facilitating “ease of living”. 

“If India does not adopt new technology with changing times, it will remain backward; the country experienced this during the third industrial revolution,” said PM Narendra Modi in his inaugural speech. 

The Digital Mela, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar, has piqued the curiosity of thousands of visitors who are flocking to see and learn about the latest innovations and new technologies from the emerging tech pavilions showcasing AR/VR, Drone Technology, Robotics to Women in Tech, Digital Payments, Fintech to R&D pavilion exhibiting the latest in medical electronics, additive manufacturing, 3D printing, semiconductors and nanotechnology, high computing processors among others.  

Owing to the enormous success of the Digital India Week, it has been decided to extend the Expo till July 10, so that students, entrepreneurs, and citizens from different geographies can benefit from the various types of digital technologies and solutions being exhibited. 

Through the lens of AI 

The world is evolving fast, with artificial intelligence at the forefront, changing the way people live and interact with things around them. Technology is getting mainstream. As a result, many startups have come up with good AI solutions to cater to society, government, and academic needs as well. 

Here are some of the AI startups gaining traction at the Expo. If you’re around Gandhinagar, visit the stalls to get an overview of different AI solutions. 

Skylark Labs 

Founded in 2018, Skylark develops AI-powered security products that build the next-gen AI-based visual analysis technology for CCTVs and drones to detect potential threats. The products provide reconnaissance for operations across land, sea, and air to foresee emerging beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) threats and proactively avert them. The security products from the company power ground and air mounted systems to provide tactical and strategic insights that are turned into decisions and actions for battlefields. 

Sequretek 

Founded in 2013, Sequretek is a cybersecurity firm that offers end-to-end security in the areas of enterprise threat monitoring, incident response (Percept XDR), device security (Percept EDR), identity & access governance (Percept IGA) through their own AI-driven Percept Cloud Security Platform (PCSP). Sequretek products are covered by technology influencers like Gartner, ICSA Labs, and NASSCOM, while the strategic partnerships with Intel, Ingram Micro and FIS give them market access in India and US. 

Gnani.ai 

Founded in 2016, Gnani.ai is a deep tech voice-first conversational AI company with proprietary omnichannel automation and analytics products. The startup empowers businesses to build customer-centric Conversational AI on multiple channels. It offers numerous products and services for document translation, video translation, automated bots for citizenship helpdesk, and mass surveys. The firm even provides custom-made solutions for Indian defence forces and agencies. 

AIGROEDGE 

With its headquarter in Delhi, AIGROEDGE Technologies is a deep tech startup started by a team of engineers, researchers and entrepreneurs developing edge IoT sensory and artificial intelligence-powered digital solutions for the specialised agriculture markets. There are many market applications (e.g., herbs and cosmetic flowers market, etc.) for AIGROEDGE’s first product ‘KRAASHAK’, an edge IoT sensory device powered by AI for physical quality assessment, disease detection and the prediction of parameters affecting plants growth using proprietary expert system to enhance yield. 

AiMunshi 

Founded in 2019, AiMunshi is an Intelligent Automation Tool that fulfils the need to process and extract information in the desired format, irrespective of the document layout. Simply put, it’s an intelligent financial data extraction and validation tool that helps enterprises save costs on overpayments and financial misreporting. It allows the users to retrieve automatic alerts on transactions, along with analytics reporting with real-time figures. More importantly, the invoice data capture and storage capabilities drive rapid processing of data with vendors in real-time.  

Miko – The Personal AI robot for Kids 

Founded in 2015, Miko is an advanced consumer robotics innovations lab passionate about bringing the best of technology to young learners everywhere. The company’s latest product, Miko 3, is an AI-powered intelligent robot that uses playful, conversational learning to educate, engage and entertain kids aged 5-10 years. It has an adaptive personality, dozens of emotions, and millions of topics and themes to learn from.
