A free 12-week online course on deep learning for visual computing has been announced by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. (An example of a machine learning algorithm is deep learning.)
The course is open to any interested professional or student, although students seeking degrees in electrical engineering, electronics and communications engineering, or computer science engineering would benefit from it the most.
The course, which will be taught by Debdoot Sheet, an assistant professor of electrical engineering at IIT Kharagpur, has already attracted 900 students.
Facts to consider:
The education is free.
The cost of an e-certificate is Rs 1,000.
Depending on the candidate’s performance in the final exam, a certificate will be given.
25% of the average assignment grade and 75% of the proctored certification exam will be used to determine the final grade. The average assignment grade is calculated by averaging the results of the top eight of the course’s 12 assignments.
The certificates will not be offered in hard copy.
