The Indian Institute of Technology in Mandi and the IAF’s Headquarters Maintenance Command in Nagpur signed an agreement to work together on research and development projects in the areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
According to a statement, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Tulika Srivastava, dean (Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy) at IIT, Mandi, and Biji Philip, deputy senior maintenance staff officer of the HQ MC.
According to the agreement, IIT, Mandi, and HQ MC will work together on research projects, technology development, and skill development in the fields of decision support systems, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction. “I commend the entire IIT Mandi team and HQ MC for formalising their partnership through this MoU. IIT Mandi’s primary mission is to promote engineering and technological research and development, and this agreement is a step in that direction, according to Srivastava.
According to Srivastava, the faculty and student body of IIT Mandi is its greatest strength. He continued, “I am confident that with this collaboration both companies would gain mutually and execute significant advances in the domain of AI and machine learning.”
According to a release from the IIT, the MoU would make it possible to hold joint brainstorming sessions and workshops as well as allow officers from MC and IIT Mandi professors to visit one other to discuss joint initiatives. The partnership will aid in the development of new technologies and examine strategies for scaling up the prototypes and technologies created via the collaboration for fabrication by parties from the industry that have been mutually identified.
