How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming The Hiring Process?

October 26, 2021
AI

Artificial intelligence and machine learning, these two names are changing business practices and workplaces tremendously. Artificial intelligence can help business applications in many ways, like with AI businesses can understand their customers better with deeper insights. But here we will talk about how artificial intelligence is transforming the hiring process.

We are all aware of the inefficiencies in the hiring process, with the help of artificial intelligence and automation, we can reduce these inefficiencies to a great extent, and apply the candidate first approach. With the help of AI, recruiters can find candidates who are matching the job description such as job roles, hard skills, soft skills, academics, experience, salary, industry, personality, etc. The Al Algoritm in the hiring process will help businesses in making hiring decisions – fast & better.

Benefits of AI and how it’s transforming the hiring process

Currently what is happening with recruiters and applicants is that they both have to go through all the irrelevant profiles and jobs to find the perfect job or the perfect applicant. Here artificial intelligence can set a job search preference with relevant job descriptions, and a matching algorithm can be used by the recruiter or the applicant so that they both can consider hard skills, soft skills, job roles, industry, education, experience, city, and many other factors.

Artificial intelligence can also improve the response rate between the recruiter and the job seeker. Currently, the biggest problem for recruiters or job seekers is there are lots of casual and non-active recruiters and job seekers in the market which makes it extremely difficult to find a genuine recruiter or a job seeker. With artificial intelligence tools, we can avoid this problem. AI recruiters’ feed will be filled with all the genuine job seekers by tracking their behaviour, and the candidates’ feed will be filled with all the genuine recruiters & jobs by tracking their behaviour. So basically AI will show more researched and detailed recommendations to both recruiters and job seekers.

Frauds in the hiring process have become extremely common in this digital era. But with artificial intelligence, we can track and prevent fraud. Artificial intelligence with the help of machine learning can identify potentially fraudulent job seekers or recruiters, and the degree of accuracy is extremely higher than humans. That’s why we can say that AI will reduce the frauds happening in the hiring process drastically. Artificial intelligence can give better well-researched recommendations to applicants and recruiters. Because with artificial intelligence we can evaluate a job description, recruiters profile, job search preference, candidates profile, etc. After that artificial intelligence can rate all this information automatically and will recommend jobs or candidates accordingly.

In a corporate world, a normal job post is expected to receive somewhere around 300 resumes, and out of that 300, only 5 to 6 candidates are called for an interview. This number is extremely low when the job is for a senior-level position. Artificial intelligence can offer intelligent job seeker screening. With this kind of AI-powered tool, recruiters can find more suitable candidates quickly as the screening process will search for a specific keyword in a candidate’s resume. Some advanced artificial intelligence tools can also analyze applicants’ data along with their online presence. This gives recruiters a more detailed history of applicant’s abilities. The screening process with the help of artificial intelligence will help recruiters appoint the best suitable candidate for the position.

Lying in resumes is one of the biggest problems every recruiter is facing right now. As a result, recruiters end up getting the wrong candidate for a specific position. We are working hard to find an AI solution to this specific problem. This is where Human Intelligence is involved in the current hiring processes.

Artificial intelligence can speed up the interviewing process with intelligent candidate evaluations. Artificial intelligence-powered job-seeker evaluations can remove interviewer biases. This means that all the candidates will get equal opportunities, and the organization will get the best candidate without any interviewer biases. However, certain human evaluations are required here as well.

Yes, it is true that in the future artificial intelligence and machine learning will take over many humanly positioned jobs. But no matter what AI does it will not replace the human intelligence required in hiring decisions. On the contrary, artificial intelligence will help human intelligence tremendously in making better hiring and job search processes, and it will make the whole process extremely fast and efficient.
