Five best online mental wellness platforms to look out for in 2021

Mental illness is the unseen silent killer that has impacted globally over a billion people or 15% of the world population. Despite a lot of discussion during the pandemic lockdown, globally over 70% people suffering from mental illness don’t get any treatment partly due to stigma, delayed diagnosis, the cost involved in treatment, and unavailability of trained therapists in local languages. Leading companies in the space of mental wellness in the last 5 years contributed actively during the covid Lockdown in creating awareness and providing mental wellness support globally. Over 120M people in India and around one billion people globally need professional support to handle mental health issues.

To address this issue, there are mental health companies that provide online counselling services. Below are the top five available online mental health counselling platforms

HopeQure

It is India’s first and the only certified mental health company for its security that has HIPAA certification for catering to global Mental Health clients from India. Their rates are cheapest for counselling and they offer over 750+ certified experts (including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, psychologists, counsellors, and therapists) to address and help with all kinds of mental health issues. HopeQure.com website is quite aesthetic, user friendly and they provide chat assistance for smooth sign up and booking. Video consultation sessions start at INR 499/- for 60 minutes. They offer 50+ self-assessments, a wide range of time-bound and effective mental health programs, specialised corporate programs, and peer support sessions.

Also, for young and enthusiastic people they are offering internships and a chance to become the flag bearer of mental health on their campus. They have been actively organizing webinars to spread awareness and to end the stigma surrounding mental health.

Better Help

It is the world’s largest e-counselling platform with nearly 2 million clients in the USA. Their mission is to make counselling accessible, affordable, and convenient – so anyone who struggles with life’s challenges can get help, anytime, anywhere. They do not provide chat assistance.

They have a long and elaborative form asking for therapy type, gender, age, orientation, relationship status, religious identity etc. and questions around coronavirus impact, eating habits, physical health condition, depression, insomnia, appetite, anxiety, guilt, concentration, suicidal tendencies, social interaction, employment, intimate relations, alcohol intake, phobia, medication chronic pain, financial status, sleep pattern, better help reference, country, language preference, other applicable details followed by sign up with contact details.

Trijog:

It is another prominent online counselling platform with the most aesthetic and welcoming feel. Their website has an appointment button right in front of sight, followed by description of company and services. Their services involve online counselling, corporate wellness program, child counselling, webinars, offline counselling and educational well being. They claim to have more than 38 thousand satisfied clients and more than 26 certified and qualified professionals.

TalkSpace:

It is another renowned mental health consultation platform. If you are over 13 just fill in email address, nickname and get started. You will receive a verification email and soon after that you will be matched with an agent to chat. This agent acts as a bridge to learn more about you and help connect you with a therapist that meets your needs. He/she will also go over their different therapy plans and pricing options. There are introductory ‘helpful tips’ video to understand about how it works, what to expect and how to assess your progress. The website also shows 60,000+ 5 star rating and reviews. Their own survey shows that 80% people found it as effective as in person counselling and 98% people found it more convenient than face to face counselling.

Tick Talk to:

It is a top-notch online counselling portal. Their website is very catchy and attractive. They provide EAP services for corporations. Standardised assessments out there on the site are standardised and powered by Pearson. They have also displayed customer feedback and reviews. Website looks quite simplified, the sign up process just involves email address and message.
