Firefly, A New Visual Tool For Creative Teams, Is Released By Adobe

March 24, 2023
Artificial-Intelligence

Adobe hosted a full-court press event at its annual Summit in Las Vegas. The organization used Firefly, a brand-new generative artificial intelligence visual technology, to create a wide variety of digital visuals for the event. Five gigantic TV displays that ran the length of the room, which was the equivalent of two football fields, were set up for the occasion.

Executives from Adobe, including CEO Shantanu Narayen, gave a presentation during the event outlining the company’s strategy and several product innovation objectives. As part of this endeavor, Adobe is fully committing to generative AI and launching a flood of new products to a large international audience of business professionals, analysts, consumers, and journalists.

Anil Chakravarthy, head of digital experience at Adobe, stated that AI and machine learning will be essential to Adobe products that support these enterprises as marketing communications now revolve on digital-first, end-to-end consumer experiences. A truly perceptive technique will be needed, he continued, “so we can enhance and not replace the force of human inventiveness.” Generative simulated intelligence will be used for innovation and customer experience. Generative AI will serve as a “copilot.”

What Is the Process of Adobe Firefly?

According to the business, the first of Adobe Firefly’s creative generative AI models would be trained using photos from Adobe Stock that were either openly licensed or in the public domain since the copyright had expired. Adobe Express, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator for commercial usage in Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Adobe Express workflows are the first Adobe programs that will be linked with Adobe Firefly, according to the firm.

David Wadhwani, president of Adobe’s digital media division, claims that the company learned the models using hundreds of millions of photos with open and stock licenses. The framework was also created to be simple to integrate with content and apps. He said that models and content produced by Adobe will be suitable for commercial usage and that 3D, video, and audio content will be available in the upcoming weeks. Hence, he stated, “AI can be used for both personal projects and business applications.”
