Chatbots Like ChatGPT Are Most Likely To Replace These Positions In The Future

February 1, 2023
chatGPT

It is already common practise to employ chatbots and artificial intelligence technologies like ChatGPT to do a range of jobs, from writing high school papers to creating legal documents and even composing legislation. These programmes can virtually instantaneously produce increasingly complex written content.

As with every significant cycle of technical innovation, artificial intelligence will displace some employees and replace their jobs. At the same time, completely new hobbies and job prospects will start to appear.

Programming for computers
ChatGPT has the ability to create computer code to create programmes and software. It has the ability to translate concepts from plain English into programming language and check human coders’ language for flaws.

According to professor Oded Netzer of Columbia Business School, “I think it’s mostly an enhancer rather than a full replacement of occupations” in terms of employment. “Programming and coding are two examples of that. It’s actually extremely adept at writing code.”

That might entail carrying out fundamental programming tasks currently handled by people.

“The machine can write code if all you are truly doing is translating an idea into code. It might eliminate jobs to the extent that we would require fewer programmers. But it would also make it easier for programmers to spot errors in scripts and create more efficient code “added Netzer.

Simple email
According to Netzer, writing straightforward administrative or scheduling emails for things like making or cancelling appointments might likewise be readily outsourced to a platform like ChatGPT.

Why not just tell the computer, “I need to organise a meeting on this day,” he questioned, as there isn’t much imagination involved?

Intermediate writing
David Autor, a labour economist at MIT, mentioned a few mid-level white-collar tasks that can be performed by AI, such as writing letters for human resources, creating advertisements, and composing press releases.

“The use of bots will be far more prevalent among workers who perform both creative and routine jobs, such as drafting initial versions of legal papers and simple advertising copy. These are specialised abilities, and software will undoubtedly make them more affordable, devaluing human labour in the process “Author stated.

Buying and planning media
Additionally, the creative industries are probably impacted. In a recent panel discussion, renowned advertising executive Sir Martin Sorrell, the founder of WPP, the largest ad and PR group in the world, predicted that within five years, the way businesses purchase advertising space will be automated “in a highly successful way.”

“As a result, you won’t have to rely as a customer on a media buyer or planner who is 25 years old and inexperienced; instead, you’ll be able to pool the data. The major change is that “said he.

Legal obligations
Both AI specialists and legal professionals agree that ChatGPT’s capabilities are ideally suited for the legal industry. In reality, after composing essays on a variety of subjects, including constitutional law, taxation, and torts, ChatGPT’s bot just passed a law school exam and received a passing score.

According to Jason Boehmig, co-founder and CEO of Ironclad, a legal software business, “the dynamic that happens to lawyers now is that there is way too much work to potentially be done, so they construct an artificial division between what they will work on and what will be pushed to the wayside.”

Wills, nondisclosure agreements, home leasing agreements, and other common legal forms and documents can all be created by a sophisticated bot.

90% of a legal document is copied and pasted, according to Netzer of Columbia Business School. However, there are some sections of a legal document that people must adjust to a specific context. “We could easily use a machine to create these legal documents if we wanted to. The parameters may need to be first explained in English, after which the machine ought to be able to write it extremely well. It should be replaced more often the less innovative thinking is required.”

After threats of imprisonment, an AI-powered “robot” lawyer will not present their case in court.
ChatGPT bot succeeds on the bar test.
Boehmig continued, “There aren’t enough lawyers to handle all the legal work corporations have. “There will be a significant shift in how attorneys operate. Lawyers who don’t adjust to new ways of working over the next ten years, in my opinion, are the occupations that won’t exist. People who see they must change and those who don’t seem to be on the same page.”
