Generative AI, the amazing breakthrough of 2023, is developing even more quickly in 2024. Its capacity to independently produce material for a range of media has become a key factor promoting innovation in a variety of sectors. Having knowledge of Gen AI can help you stand out as employers look for workers who can use AI to promote innovation, optimize workflows, and spur business expansion. It’s interesting to note that Coursera has translated over 4,400 courses into 21 languages, including Hindi, using artificial intelligence to reduce language barriers and increase accessibility to education. These are the top five courses that professionals are taking to keep ahead of the curve and accelerate their knowledge on Gen AI on the edtech platform Coursera.

ChatGPT’s prompt engineering

The most popular course on Coursera for generative AI upskilling is Vanderbilt University’s Prompt Engineering for ChatGPT. This 18-hour introductory course is broken up into six modules to teach you how to use prompt engineering to work with large language models (like ChatGPT) efficiently, how to use prompt patterns to access powerful features in large language models, and how to build sophisticated prompt-based applications for business, education, or daily life.

Overview of Generative Artificial Intelligence

In 2023, Google Cloud’s Introduction to Generative AI course ranked second in popularity on Coursera. The purpose of this basic microlearning course is to define generative artificial intelligence (AI), describe its applications, and highlight its distinctions from more conventional machine learning techniques. In order to assist professionals in creating their own Gen AI apps, it also covers Google Tools. In comparison to the same period last year, this one-hour course has already registered over 110% in the first quarter of 2024.

Generated AI Using Extensive Linguistic Models

Deep Knowledge.Generative AI with Large Language Models from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AI is another well-liked course that has seen a substantial uptake. This 16-hour course, which is offered in 21 languages, must be finished in three weeks at five hours per week. This course aids in the transmission of fundamental knowledge, useful skills, and a practical comprehension of the operation of generative AI. It delves deeply into the most recent Gen AI research to learn how businesses are utilizing cutting-edge technology to create value. Furthermore, the guidelines come from knowledgeable AWS AI practitioners who actively develop and apply AI for commercial use cases.

Generated AI Using Extensive Linguistic Models

This five-hour introductory course clarifies what generative AI is, how it functions, typical applications for it, and what applications and limitations it has. Training in the lifetime of a generative AI project—from inception to launch—as well as the creation of efficient prompts, is also beneficial. Finally, it discusses the advantages and disadvantages that generative AI technology may bring to people, companies, and society as a whole.

Overview of Large Language Models

One of the most popular courses on the platform is this hour-long Google Cloud course, which had a 290% rise in demand from the first quarter of 2023 to 2024. This course is a beginner-level micro-learning program that covers large language models (LLMs), their applications, and quick tweaking as a means of improving LLM performance. Additionally, Google tools for creating your own Gen AI apps are covered. Large Language Models (LLMs), LLM use cases, quick tweaking, and Google’s Gen AI Development tools are all covered in this course.
