Artificial Intelligence And Machine Learning Will Make Companies’ Information Technology Systems More Secure, According To A Report

December 3, 2022

BENGALURU: According to a study conducted by ManageEngine, which is the enterprise IT management division of Zoho Corporation, the vast majority of respondents (91%) agree that artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) will play a significant role in strengthening their organization’s IT security framework in the not-too-distant future. Recently, businesses have been showing a great deal of interest in IT security.

According to Shailesh Davey, Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering at Zoho, the firm has been receiving a significant number of inquiries regarding cyber security. The study titled “IT at Work: 2022 and Beyond” polled 3,300 decision-makers in IT and other key business functions in organisations located in 18 different countries, including India. According to the findings of the study, nearly all company decision-makers (98%) have already made investments in AI and ML, and they are doing so for an average of two different use cases each. The most popular use case is automation, which accounts for 64%, followed by the avoidance of cyberattacks, which accounts for 59%.

85 percent of the IT decision-makers (ITDMs) that were polled believe that the current security landscapes of organisations need to be updated in order to provide adequate defence against cyberattacks. According to Davey, “our primary goal with this study was to shed light on the current state of ITDMs and the need for IT democratisation and empowerment for a well-knit organisation today.” This was the primary objective of the research that was conducted.
