Top 10 VCs Investing In AI And ML Start-Ups In 2023

The next industrial revolution will undoubtedly be powered by applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning, and it is almost here. Despite the fact that AI/ML development is still mostly in its infancy, groundbreaking innovations by AI and ML businesses that are concentrating on AI operating systems, self-learning language processing platforms, and self-driving automobiles are creating a stir in the IT industry. Venture investors are hopping on the bandwagon to support the brains behind the initiatives because of its potential to upend growth and development prospects in practically any industry. See who the top ten venture capitalists are who are funding startups in AI and ML.

Group Softbank
This Japanese MNC group’s owner, Masayoshi Son, is reputed to have focused 97% of his “time and attention” on AI development. Its $93 billion Softbank Vision Fund, the largest technology development fund in the world, has invested $28 billion in initiatives centred on artificial intelligence.

Partners in Institutional Venture
It is a private equity fund with headquarters in the US that focuses on funding businesses in their later phases of growth. With its investments in businesses like GitHub, Soundcloud, and Indiegogo, IVP has established itself as a significant investor in AI startups. $7 billion has been invested in AI and machine learning businesses overall.

Ventures Two Sigma
It is a division of Two Sigma Investments that focuses on early-stage finance for IT and computer technology ventures with the intention of making the world a better place. Some of the AI startups its money are parked in include Amper Music, an AI programme for creating music for videos based on emotional mapping, Zymergen, an AI software to better biological manipulation, and Socore, a predictive analytics software.

Lightspeed Expeditions
A US-based venture capital business invests in early-stage AI/ML companies. Its tech portfolio includes businesses that Texas Instruments, Oracle, Blackberry, Walmart, and other major corporations eventually purchased. Their largest investment is $7 million in People.ai, an AI business renowned for creating software for maximising income.

With Andreessen Horowitz
It is among the most recognisable names among venture capital companies that invest in AI. Since its modest beginnings in 2009 in Silicon Valley, California, it has grown to become a venture capital unicorn, investing in businesses at all phases of growth. Along with $30 million for People.ai, it also has a bio fund specifically for assisting medical AI startups.

Nissan AI Ventures
The robotics and autonomous transportation initiatives will be funded by the Toyota company’s venture capital division. With $100 million as starting money, its focus is primarily on being able to offer professional counsel and guidance from a team of accomplished scientists and businesspeople. Elementary robotics, home care robots, and other big initiatives are some of them.

Combinator Y
They are professionals at investing tiny sums of money in lots of AI/ML firms because they are a business incubator. After twice-yearly investments of $150K in companies, they concentrate for three months, working closely with business professionals, on strategic planning. It has made investments in a number of projects, such as May Mobility, Lyre Bird, Msg.ai, etc.

Collective Data
It holds the record for investing in the most AI startups since 2012, having backed 20 in the past seven years. Its primary objective is to provide capital for multinational Big Data businesses. Their portfolio includes businesses like Plenty, Recursion Pharmaceuticals, and Vicarious.

Comingt Labs
It is a fund and incubator that primarily invests in robotics and AI firms. They are also interested in collaborating with specialists in the field to offer entrepreneurs a commercial and technological environment that is favourable to their growth. Among the ventures that have received money are Creator, Iron Ox, Prenav, and others.

Accel
A seasoned VC investor is renowned for picking businesses that have the ability to advance into the following generation. It has entered the AI revolution and has invested $650K in AceBot as well as in startups like Scale, SigTuple, and Facilio.
