To apply to GitHub for Startups, startups must raise Series A funding, be new to the GitHub developer platform, and previously have not received credits. In case of ineligibility, companies can still own permission to sign up for a free trial. The open-source GitHub enterprises currently announced that they will need all users to enable one or more forms of two-factor authentication (2FA) by the end of 2023.
