T-Hub

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), a department of the Indian Ministry of Science and Technology, and T-Hub, the country’s top startup incubator, have joined forces to launch the first-ever Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Technology Hub (MATH). This historic event is a big step forward in utilizing AI and ML to bring India’s technical might to the international arena.

MATH has set lofty targets to rise the AI market in India to new heights with its strategic vision to support AI innovation, generate employment opportunities, and build a favorable ecosystem for AI businesses. The Center of Excellence wants to establish itself as the nation’s premier hub for AI-driven projects by creating over 500 AI-related employment by 2025 and supporting over 150 startups each year.

The AI Hub at MATH
With a CAGR of 25–35%, the AI industry in India is expected to reach $17 billion by 2027. With this growth trend in mind, MATH’s establishment as a Center of Excellence marks a significant advancement for AI and ML in India. Distinguished dignitaries attended the T-Hub launch event, including BVR Mohan Reddy, T-Hub board member and founder & chairman of Cyient; Sridhar Babu Duddilla, Telangana’s minister for IT, E&C, and I&C; Rahul Paith, CEO of MATH; Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, principal secretary, IT, E&C, and I&C Department; and Mahankali Srinivas Rao (MSR), CEO of T-Hub.

“We are excited to partner with MATH in establishing a transformative hub for AI and ML technologies,” stated Mahankali Srinivas Rao, CEO of T-Hub. Our same goals of supporting businesses, encouraging creativity, and building a thriving ecosystem for technological growth are all embodied in this relationship. T-Hub and MATH working together would enable business owners to take use of AI and ML, bringing about significant transformation and catapulting India into the forefront of the global technology industry.”

“The launch of MATH represents a critical turning point in our journey towards realizing the potential of AI and ML to drive innovation and create impact,” stated Rahul Paith, CEO of MATH. With its cutting-edge infrastructure and extensive support network, MATH is positioned to lead India’s AI and ML innovation. We are eager to work with T-Hub and ecosystem participants to support researchers, spur the development of AI-driven businesses, and influence the direction of technology in our country.”

MATH presents state-of-the-art facilities that include a powerful data infrastructure to support various AI applications, a world-class Learning Management System (LMS) customized for AI teaching, and a tiny data center with GPU capabilities. With this launch, MATH provides a wide range of programs and initiatives to empower stakeholders throughout the AI and ML spectrum, marking a significant turning point for researchers, students, and companies. As the ultimate location for all things AI and ML, MATH offers access to cutting-edge computational infrastructure, data lakes, AI skilling programs, and virtual connectivity to worldwide AI ecosystems.

MATH pledges to offer full startup support, including manpower and infrastructure support as well as access to problem statements, data, and patent conversion chances. With unmatched assistance and resources, stakeholders may propel AI and ML breakthroughs thanks to easily accessible technological infrastructure and technologies including GPU clusters, data lakes, LMS platforms, and annotation tools.
