Programming language is a type of written language that tells computers what to do. It is a set of rules that convert strings, or graphical program elements in the case of visual programming languages. Microsoft has widened its net beyond .NET in its stable programming languages including .NET cross-platform support and its Javascript flavor. The closest Microsoft programming language to both is C#. Here are the top 10 Microsoft programming languages to learn in 2022.

C++: C++ is the workhorse language at Microsoft, which uses C++ to build many of its core applications.  C++ is used to create computer programs and is one of the most used languages in game development.  It’s the core language in many operating systems, browsers, and games.

C#: Microsoft announced C# in 2001 as a modern. C# is useful for developers building a wide range of high-performance Web applications and components from XML-based Web services to middle-tier business objects and system-level applications. It is used in creating applications for Microsoft on a large scale. C# is also used in game development in Unity.

JavaScript: JavaScript remains the most popular programming language in the world. It is the programming language of the Web. Developers love it because it’s lightweight, flexible, and powerful. Over 97% of websites use JavaScript on the client-side for web page behaviour.

TypeScript: TypeScript is a language for application-scale JavaScript. It is a free and open-source programming language developed and maintained by Microsoft. Microsoft says it is JavaScript that scales and uses TypeScript in Office 365 and a variety of other projects.

VB.NET: The VB.NET stands for Visual Basic. VB.Net programming will also take you through various advanced concepts related to the VB.Net programming language. This has led to a large talent pool. It is designed to create applications that work with Microsoft’s new. NET Framework.

F#: F# is open-source, cross-platform, and free to use with professional tooling. F# is a JavaScript. Network monitoring tools language for web, cloud, apps, and more. It is a universal programming language for writing succinct, robust, and performant code.

Python: Python is a high-level, interpreted, general-purpose programming language. Microsoft provides Python Tools for Visual Studio, a powerful plug-in Python IDE, for free and as an open-source project. It can be used to create a variety of different programs and isn’t specialized for any specific problems

R: R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. Microsoft acquired Revolution Analytics, a leader in providing R software and services, and is building R and Revolution’s technology into its data platform products so that companies, developers, and data scientists can use it across on-premises, hybrid cloud, and Azure public cloud environments.

T-SQL: Transact-SQL is Microsoft’s and Sybase’s proprietary extension to the SQL, used for interaction with relational databases. It can help perform operations like retrieving the data from a single row, inserting new rows, and retrieving multiple rows. It is a procedural language that is used by the SQL Server.

Java: Java is a popular programming language. It is used to develop mobile apps, web apps, desktops, and much more. Java is not specific to Microsoft, but Microsoft does allow for it and has its own Java Developer Kit. The most recent version of the open-source language is Java 17.
